Create FA Depreciation Books Batch Job

With this batch job, you can create FA depreciation books for one or more fixed assets. You can create empty FA depreciation books, for example for all fixed assets, when you have set up a new depreciation book. You can also use an existing FA depreciation book as the basis for the new book or books.

Fill in the fields on the tabs as follows:

Fixed Asset

No.: Enter the numbers of the fixed assets for which you want to create FA depreciation books. To see the existing numbers, click the AssistButton in the Filter field.

FA Class Code: Enter the codes for the FA classes for which you want to create FA depreciation books. To see the existing codes, click the AssistButton in the Filter field.

FA Subclass Code: Enter the codes for the FA subclasses for which you want to create FA depreciation books. To see the existing codes, click the AssistButton in the Filter field.

Click the up-arrow at the lower left-hand corner of the window to see the result of the filters you have defined.

Options

Depreciation Book: Click the AssistButton, and then select the depreciation book code you want to use when creating FA depreciation books for the fixed assets you have specified by setting a filter on the Fixed Asset tab. If you have not set a filter, the batch job will create FA depreciation books for all fixed assets.

Copy from FA No.: Click the AssistButton, and then select the fixed asset number you want to use as the basis for creating new FA depreciation books. If you fill in this field, the depreciation fields in the new FA depreciation books will contain the same information as the corresponding fields in the FA depreciation book you copy from. Leave the field blank if you want to create new FA depreciation books with empty depreciation fields.

Click OK to start the batch job or, if you do not want to run the batch job now, click Cancel to close the window.
