Remove Contacts - Refine Batch Job

With the Remove Contacts - Refine batch job, you can specify which of your contacts you want to keep within your segment. To run the batch job, open the Segment window and then click Functions, Segment, Remove Contacts, Refine.

You can use this batch job to specify which of your contacts you want to remove from the segment

If you want to include more information, you can select additional fields to be included in the batch job. To do this, in the Field field, press F3, click the AssistButton and then select the relevant field(s). You can set filters on any of the fields. If you do not set any filters, the batch job will include all your records.

Click OK to start the batch job. If you do not want to run the batch job now, click Cancel to close the window.

To filter the information in the batch job, in the Filter field, fill in the relevant information as follows:

Contact tab

No. field: Enter the numbers of the contacts that you want to keep within the segment.

Search Name field: Enter the search names of the contacts that you want to keep within the segment.

Type field: Select a contact type (company or person) if you only want to keep these types of contacts in the segment.

Salesperson Code field: Enter a salesperson code if you only want to keep the contacts assigned to that particular salesperson within the segment.

Post Code field: Enter a post code if you only want to keep the contacts in that particular geographical area within the segment.

Country/Region Code field: Enter a country/region code if you only want to keep the contacts that have been assigned that particular country/region code within the segment.

Territory Code field: Enter a territory code if you only want to keep the contacts from that particular territory within the segment.

Click the up-arrow in the lower left-hand corner of the window to see the table with the filters you have set for the batch job.

Profile tab

Profile Questionnaire Code field: Enter a questionnaire code if you only want to keep the contacts that have been assigned that particular profile questionnaire within the segment.

Line No. field: Enter a line number if you only want to keep the contacts that have been assigned that particular line within the segment.

Mailing Group tab

Mailing Group Code field: Enter a mailing group code if you only want to keep all the contacts that have been assigned that particular mailing group within the segment.

Interaction Log Entry tab

Date field: Enter a date or date filter if you want to limit the batch job to a specific period.

Segment No. field: Enter a segment number if you only want to keep the contacts involved in the interaction log entries that are linked to that particular segment within the segment.

Campaign No. field: Enter a campaign number if you only want to keep the contacts involved in the interaction log entries that are linked to that particular campaign within the segment.

Evaluation field: Select an evaluation (Very Positive, Positive, Neutral, Negative, Very Negative) if you only want to keep the contacts involved in the interaction log entries with that particular evaluation within the segment.

Interaction Template Code field: Enter an interaction template code if you only want to keep the contacts involved in the interactions created using that particular interaction template within the segment.

Salesperson Code field: Enter a salesperson code if you only want to keep the contacts involved in the interaction log entries linked to that particular salesperson within the segment.

Click the up-arrow in the lower left-hand corner of the window to see the table with the filters you have set for the batch job.

Job Responsibility tab

Job Responsibility Code field: Enter a job responsibility code if you only want to keep the contact persons that have been assigned that particular job responsibility within the segment.

Industry Group tab

Industry Group Code field: Enter an industry group code if you only want to keep the contact companies that have been assigned that particular industry group within the segment.

Business Relation tab

Business Relation Code field: Enter a business relation code if you only want to keep within the segment the contact companies that have been assigned that particular business relation.

Value Entry tab

Item No. field: Enter an item number if you only want to keep the contacts linked to that particular item in the segment.

Variant Code field: Enter a variant code if you only want to keep the contacts linked to value entries with that particular variant code in the segment.

Posting Date field: Enter a posting date if you only want to keep the contacts linked to value entries posted on that particular date in the segment.

Inventory Posting Group field: Enter a posting group if you only want to keep the contacts linked to value entries with that particular inventory posting group in the segment.

Click the up-arrow in the lower left-hand corner of the window to see the table with the filters you have set for the batch job.

Options tab

Entire Companies field: Insert a check mark in this field, to have the program automatically keep in the segment all the persons within the companies that you decide to keep in the segment.
