Setting Up a BizTalk Partner in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Creating the BizTalk Partner on BizTalk Server
Before you can exchange documents with a BizTalk Partner, you
must set up this partner in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and create a
connection from your Microsoft Dynamics NAV to the partner on
BizTalk Server.
BizTalk Server uses this information to recognize the BizTalk
partner to allow BizTalk documents to be correctly distributed
between you and your BizTalk partner.
To set up a BizTalk Partner in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and create
a connection from your Microsoft Dynamics NAV to the BizTalk
partner on BizTalk Server, follow one of these procedures:
If you are connected to BizTalk Server 2000/2002, click here.
Make sure that the wanted BizTalk partner has registered their
organization on the BizTalk Server.
Setting up a BizTalk partner in Microsoft
Dynamics NAV and creating a connection from your Microsoft Dynamics
NAV to the partner on the BizTalk Server does not automatically
activate any agreements that are used to exchange documents. This
must be done by creating the necessary agreements and documents on
BizTalk Server and updating them in Microsoft Dynamics NAV .
Furthermore, it is also possible to carry out
this process in the reverse order and first create a connection
from your Microsoft Dynamics NAV to the BizTalk partner on BizTalk
Server and subsequently update Microsoft Dynamics NAV by selecting
the correct BizTalk partner from the BizTalk Organization Name
field. This field lists all available BizTalk partners that are
presently registered on BizTalk Server.
If you are connected to BizTalk Server 2004, click here.
Fill in all relevant fields in the header as required.
In the lines, enter the agreement types in the Agreement Type fields, or click the
AssistButton to the right to open the BizTalk Partner Agreement Type window and
select agreement type.
When you have selected the number of agreements you need, place
a check mark in the Active
field to activate the agreement.
Note
You can deactivate the agreement(s) by
removing the check mark in the Active field.
